Dramaten's mission is to be the leading institution in the field of theatre and, as a national stage, to be at the highest level in terms of development, innovation and artistic quality, as well as craftsmanship in studios and workshops.
Dramaten's repertoire includes Swedish and international classical and modern works, and provides a platform for innovative performing artists.
Dramaten makes room for a diversity of talents and professional groups and is a gathering place for public meetings and conversations.

WHO WE ARE
Dramaten offers a creative and inspiring environment where we work together from our different professions, in both line and matrix organisations, to create the conditions for unique performing arts.
Dramaten accommodates over 80 different professions, including hat makers, lighting technicians, actors, HR, tailors, carpenters, accountants, producers, prompters, video technicians, stage managers, dressers, painters, extras, storekeepers, sound technicians, communicators, IT technicians, cutters, property managers, project managers, audience hosts, CRM specialists, prop masters, web editors, make-up artists, archivists, designers, and more.

About DRAMATEN
The Royal Dramatic Theatre, better known as Dramaten, is Sweden's national theatre. The theatre is wholly owned by the Swedish state.
The CEO is Kitte Wagner and the artistic director and theatre manager is Mattias Andersson.
The Royal Dramatic Theatre was founded in May 1788 by Gustav III. The theatre building at Nybroplan has been Dramaten's home since 1908 and has four stages. The largest, the Main Stage, can seat up to 770 people. Adjacent to the building at Nybroplan, on Almlöfsgatan behind it, is the Small Stage.
